Luke Coughlan

Senior Landscape Architect

Luke Coughlan is passionate about exploring the relationships between natural systems, landscape design and the built environment. And Building Information Modelling and 3D visualisation.

He believes landscape architecture plays a vital role in achieving environmental and urban resilience within cities. As a profession, designers can make a real difference in peoples lives and the world at large. Through carefully considered interventions, the biggest issues of our time, such as climate change and sustainability, are tackled. Public space is shaped to consider both the human and natural aspects of the site, leading to more sustainable, safer and healthier environments for all.

He studied a Masters Landscape Architecture UCT, Bachelor of Design and National Diploma in Landscape Technology at CPUT.

Luke enjoys mountain biking, watching Formula One and spending time with friends and family.
